DREAM ACT
It is amazing that our congress was not able to approve the Dream Act. What happened? Why is it so difficult for our leaders to see the immense injustice that is being handed out to these young brilliant minds who are victims of their parents decision. What are these young people to do? They cannot study, they cannot drive, they cannot go forward. Should we create a generation of uneducated and bitter youth? They are eager to learn, they are eager to live and contribute to this society. Please Mr. President take note!

Deportation put on hold
So the USCIS is getting overwhelmed with work. They are halting the deportation of about 17000 detainees in order to allow the USCIS time to adjudicate their family based petitions. Well this is good news for those of you out there who have orders of deportations. If you have an I-130 petition pending through a spouse who is a citizen of the United States and the petition and the priority date is current then chances are you will be able to adjust your status. Of course the motions and documents must be submitted to the court and all the procedures followed.
